Many of our members may have had the opportunity to either sit and enjoy or see other members enjoying the new section of bar area that was added to the lodge Social Quarters. Thanks to some donated funds for materials and the hard work of one of our members we would not be able to enjoy this new section in our Social Quarters. Though personal thanks have been relayed, it is long overdue for some special recognition here in our Moose Call. We would like to personally thank Clint Zimmerman for his hard work and time spent in construction of this recent addition to our Social Quarters, as well as those who made donations of costs to cover materials.

I wanted to give a big thank you to a number of people who have spent their time over the past year making sure that our lodge home was an inviting place to be. I would like to thank Anna McQuaig for painting the front entryway doors year after year. I would also like to thank Dianna Healy for maintaining the front of our building with plants, flowers, holiday decorations and making the entrance to our lodge home more inviting to our guests and members entering our lodge home. I would also like to thank Sue Conner who month after month works on decorations in our social quarters. I would also like to thank Carol Sweeney, Sue Lock, and a number of other members of the WOTM that have stepped forward each year setting up Christmas Decorations, and other Holiday Decorations. The lodge always looks great around the holidays, and it’s because of members like you who make it that way. If I have left out a name please forgive me. But please know that we appreciate all you have done to make our lodge look the way it does.

I would like to put out a special thank you to all our LOOM Committee Chairman and their Committees. Without your hard work, our lodge would not have the outstanding lodge that we do. It’s because of members like yourself giving of their time, volunteering for events, and willingness to make the lodge as good as it can be, that we have the events, activities, and programs that we do.
I would also like to thank Gerri Selep and her WOTM Board of Officers and Committees for working with the LOOM Board of Officers, helping out with events and activities, and many other things that add to our lodge home.
Last but not least I would personally like to thank those serving on the LOOM Board of Officers, our Sergeant-at-Arms, Inner and Outer Guards. You choose to step forward in order to make your lodge the best it can be. You have given your time and efforts, to work together on behalf of our membership. As a member of our lodge I believe we are lucky to have you. 2009 may have ended but our work continues through April. Thank you for what you have done so far and what you will accomplish in the future.

December 12th, was our lodge Holiday Party. I would like to thank all those members who stepped up to help but on this event this year. We had 115 people in attendance and gave away $1,000 in 18 special drawings. The first place winner was Ken Reising who walked away with $300. The second place winner was Diana Jayne who walked away with $200. The third place winner was Connie Avery who took home $100. The rest of the money given away was divided up in various amounts over fifteen different winners.
A wonderful spread of hors’devourers were served, and couldn’t been achieved without the help of many volunteers prepping, cooking, serving, and decorating for that special evening. Thank you to all who volunteered and thank you to those who came out to support the event this year.

Thank you to all the kids for helping decorate the Christmas tree in the dining room. You all did a great job making all the ornaments and ribbon garland. It looks very festive.

Shop with Santa and Breakfast
We hope all the kids finished all of their Christmas shopping at the Shop with Santa on December 6th. We had a great time watching all the kids decide what to buy. A big Thank You to the Legion for making the breakfast it was good as always. It was great Santa could take time out of his busy schedule to stop by and visit with the kids.

A great time was had by all who came to the Kids Christmas Party on December 13th. 120 children enjoyed hotdogs, sloppy joes, chips, punch and of course cookies (Santa’s favorite) while listening, singing and dancing to music played by Tom Stanfield. Then Santa came into the room when the children were singing “Here Comes Santa Clause”. Excitement filled the room as Santa made his way through the crowd to his chair to hear all the children’s Christmas lists. Santa brought all the good boys and girls a gift. After visiting with all the children it was time for Santa to go. He shouted with glee ”Merry Christmas to All:

The Family Activities Committee would like to thank all the people who have helped us during the past year. We are a committee made up of only 5 people. We raise money doing a 50/50 every Sunday, meat raffles once a month, dinners every 5th Monday and Friday, Win the Money on different Holidays and various raffles. We raise this money to pay for the entertainment in the lounge, parties and shows. Without help we couldn’t do what we do. If you have any suggestions or would like to be on our committee contact Sue Lock, Sally Slack, Bill Lock, Randy Tipps or Carol Sweeney.
A Big Thank-You goes to the Redman family for their very generous donation of the Christmas Village the Family Activities raffled off in December. The money raised will be used next year for the kids Christmas Party. Thank-you very much!
