The committee is having a summer membership special. Because the members of Woodstock Moose 1329 do such a great job talking up and showing off our lodge, we will be offering $5 in Moosebucks for every member you sponsor during the months of July, August, and September. To welcome our new members we will be giving away $10 in Moosebucks to start them on their Moose journey. All Moosebuck incentives will be suspended during special membership drive events such as the Buffet party. Members who sponsor a new member at anytime this Moose year will also receive a preferred member card worth $.25 off all drinks and can look forward to the preferred member party thrown in their honor. By the way, the committee is trying to book Van Halen for this year’s party. We will keep you posted.
If you’re feeling blue because you think you’ve missed out on the membership committee experience this year don’t sweat it. We’re just getting warmed up! There’s plenty to do in the weeks and months ahead. Regular meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday of the month at 7:00. The committee operates in an open and democratic fashion. Any input is valued so come on down and help us keep Judy company. On the agenda next meeting June 29th is the planning of the Buffet party, staffing Monday night dinner, and brainstorming for an August event.
Because of the Moose picnic on Sunday July 18th memcom will be hosting the meat raffles on Saturday the 17th. The serving of pizza will be suspended in favor of Dave’s regular Saturday lunch but we will still offer the soon to be famous dues raffle. 1 year for the men and 2 years for the women for only $2.
Memcom is now hosting dinner on the 1st Monday of the month. In addition to featuring dinners by Dave, we have hired the Woodstock Cake Queen to provide desserts. YUM!

Back on May 29th 2010 our lodge celebrated with dinner and awards, all of our sponsors of new and/or re-enrolled members. We had 44 sponsors sign-up 87 new or re-enrolled members were eligible to attend the party. Around 35 sponsors and their guests enjoyed an Italian dinner prepared by our Chef Dave Jayne and wife Dianna.
Bob Sweeney took first place with 16 new members during the campaign (now he signed-up another member for this year which brings him up to 200 new members total for his career what a milestone, Congratulations Bob!)
2nd place went to Bill Lock with 7 members and
3rd place went to Mark Montgomery with 5 members!
There were 2 sponsors sign 4 members and 3 sponsors signed 3 members. Thanks to ALL who worked to sign-up new members in today’s tough economic times.

The Grand Prize was a golf certificate for 4 people with carts at Crystal Woods Golf Course on RT 47. Won by Mark Montgomery! Congratulations Mark! There was also an envelope game played that had prizes of $50.00, $25.00 and $10.00- $25.00 prize was won by Bev Bourke, the $10.00 prize was not won. And the $50.00 winner- never said a word, everyone else received $2.00 in Moose Bucks’ A good time was had by all and we hope to see many more sponsors and their guests next year. “Be a piece of the solution” sign-up a new member today!

The membership committee will be developing strategies to attract and retain new members for this upcoming year. Information on meeting times and content will be posted soon. If you have any ideas, would like to volunteer at any of our events, or just want to be a memcom groupie come join us. It’s free and you’ll have fun!
Our committee hosts the meat raffles on the 3rd Sunday of every month. Two exciting new activities will be added to the Sunday membership drawing line up. First, in addition to all the customary drawings we will be raffling off one years worth of membership dues for the men or two years for the women depending on who wins. Secondly, we will be serving Papa Murphy’s pizza by the slice from 2:00-5:00 on those days. Everyone likes meat raffles, cold beer, and hot pizza so invite a friend to the lodge. You just might win next year’s dues!

Moose International has announced a short-term membership campaign unlike any other previously!
This campaign will run from March 1st until May 31st 2010. Sponsors will earn credit toward all current membership campaigns and programs, including “Be a Part of the Solution”, the Moose International 5 Club, the Moose 25 club and the Director General’s Circle of Distinction.
Lodge members and W.O.T.M. Co-workers that sponsor 2 new members during this campaign will have their names entered in a drawing to win one of three cruises for two aboard the Carnival Splendor, which sails to the Mexican Rivera from October 10th to October 17th, 2010. Plus for each additional new member signed-up during this campaign, the sponsor will receive another entry in the drawing. Cruises will be awarded April 1st, May 1st and June 1st, 2010. Sponsors are eligible to receive only one of the three cruises for two packages.
As an added bonus, if both members are enrolled in the Lodge by May 31, 2010, Moose International will pay the sponsors next years dues! Yes- two new members between March 1st and May 31st and get next years dues PAID. And don’t forget your Lodge campaign of sign one new member receive a Moose huggie, 5 Moose bucks and a 25 cent off drink card good for 3 months.

Hi everyone! Two months of 2010 already gone, can you believe it? Two months to go for our current membership drive! The Illinois Moose Association (IMA) has exciting news for 2010. They will be holding four drawings for $500.00 each, with the first drawing to be held at the mid-year conference in Decatur. All you, the Moose member, has to do is sponsor a new member. Each time a Moose member sponsors a new member his name will be placed on the $500.00 drawing board and will be eligible for the drawing! This first campaign will run from December 1, 2009 to February 12, 2010. Which one of us couldn’t use an extra $500.00?
