The LOOM Board of Officers has approved a New Membership Stimulus Package beginning January 1st, 2010 to run through the end of the Moose year ending April 30th, 2010.
The one time New Enrollee Administration fee normally $20.00, is still as always just $10.00.
A New Members Dues normally $55.00, will now receive an additional $10.00 Moose bucks in the mail immediately after their enrollment in our lodge, Bringing a New Membership down to just $45.00 for the first year, plus the discounted $10.00 New Enrollee Administration fee.
As you think about asking those friends, neighbors, and coworkers about joining the Moose, remember this. There are many reasons people decide to join our order. It maybe for an opportunity to perform Community Service work. It may be an opportunity to enjoy the many family events and activities that are held through their local lodge. For some it’s a place to bring their family and friends for a special event or a sporting event. For some it’s a place to enjoy the company of others and be able to enjoy an inexpensive beverage or meal. Whatever the reason, the Moose welcomes all new members into our Moose family.
For all of us who are already Moose members, remember this. We can all do our part by talking Moose at every opportunity. What makes your membership valuable to you might be what’s valuable to someone else. We all may have joined the Moose for different reasons, but we all should know the value and benefits of a Moose membership. We should all know why our fraternity exists, and be able to talk about Mooseheart and Moosehaven. If you yourself aren’t sure about how to answer these questions, ask an Officer or other members in your lodge. We all I am sure would be happy to explain to Moose story.
Membership is the life blood of our fraternity and something our children and seniors at Mooseheart and Moosehaven are counting on. Without it, our children and seniors at Mooseheart and Moosehaven would not have the things that they need. It is all our responsibilities and our obligation of membership, to do our best to sign new members. That being said, we understand the economic climate of today, and how some individuals and families have been hit hard. In order to help with our obligation of signing new members, the LOOM Board of Officers has decided to introduce the above New Stimulus Package. Also, please remember there is something in it for you as well. For those of you who sign up 3 new members, you will receive FREE YEARS DUES! Plus, you will be entered into a drawing for a grand prize at the end on the Moose year (April 30th, 2010). For those of you who can sign just 1 new member, you will still receive $5.00 Moose Bucks, a $.25 off drink card, and a koozie. Remember a burden heavy to one, can be carried lightly by many. Please take this opportunity to do your part.

Hi everyone! Two months of 2010 already gone, can you believe it? Two months to go for our current membership drive! Don’t forget guys, sign-up one new member or re-enrolled member and receive 5 Moose bucks & a koozie, sign up three new members and receive 1 years dues paid and each member signed after three and your name goes into a special drawing for a prize at the end of the campaign.

What an opportunity, talk to your co-worker, neighbor, relative or a friend of many years and bring them to your friendly Moose lodge for a lunch, dinner, or one of our many activities and let them see first hand what you see. A great place to have fun, meet new friends, even complain if you want at a Board meeting. Just come on down to your friendly Moose Lodge, have fun and maybe even volunteer(?) to help on occasion.

The Illinois Moose Association (IMA) has exciting news for 2010. They will be holding four drawings for $500.00 each, with the first drawing to be held at the mid-year conference in Decatur. All you, the Moose member, has to do is sponsor a new member. Each time a Moose member sponsors a new member his name will be placed on the $500.00 drawing board and will be eligible for the drawing! This first campaign will run from December 1, 2009 to February 12, 2010. Which one of us couldn’t use an extra $500.00?

Happy New Year! We hope everyone reading this had a wonderful holiday season! Now comes the taking down of and putting away all the decorations, lights, ornaments and fruit cakes. Oh the memories from the past few weeks now turn to-“how long till spring?” Thoughts these next few weeks should also include inviting your friend, work associate or relative down to your lodge and give them a tour while you’re waiting for the doors to open to one of our delicious Monday or Friday dinners, the lodge Anniversary Party, or the Ground Hog Day celebration!

Seven months into our new campaign and we only have signed-up 35 new or re-enrolled members. Our quota is 148, but more important, is we need 1 more member on our books than we had last year. We have a lot ahead in the next 5 months!
