The above link will take you to an online service report to be filled out if you have done any community service. Have you volunteered outside the lodge? Coached a sports activity? Are you active in a Community Service organization (other than the Moose Lodge)? Not sure if what you're doing qualifies as community service? Click on the link above, fill it out and it will be emailed directly to the Moose Lodge Community Service chair and they'll look over your information to see if it qualifies.
Community Service
Vital Part of Our Organization
Community Service is a vital part of our organization. It is not only important to our lodge, but it is very important and meaningful to the ones we help. Even the smallest of things we do such as driving an elderly person to the doctor, helping with repairs or cutting the grass of a neighbor who needs your help, all counts as Community Service. You may walk in a walk-a-thon, donate to the food pantry, work at Christmas Clearing House, work with Meals on Wheels, or visit a Veteran. There are many things that our lodge gets credit for from Moose International and helps us to achieve the recognition that we have. Our lodge has been lucky enough to earn a number of Shinning Star Awards for Community Service. None of this could have been done without the hard work of all our members.
But we need your help!
The form above is a form that you can fill out at anytime during the year and turn into us for reporting the Community Service you have worked on. You can fill it out after each activity you do. If you do something every year like coach a sports team, or work in scouting you can figure your time up for those events and turn them in. Anytime you can turn it in we will take them. But the point is we need you to turn them in! If you fill out the form and drop it off at the lodge for Rosalie Vosburgh or myself, we will get the information in our lodge report. We hope to try and get this information on our website so in the future you can print off a copy and turn it in when you do something. If you have any questions whether or not something qualifies or not, fill it out and send it in anyway. We will make that determination once we have received the information. Thank you all for the hard work you do all year long!

Thanks to all of the members who supported our team for the March for Babies on April 25th. We raised $2,783.52 for the babies. We had an additional $20.00 donated later. Also, we did not have to walk in the rain. Included in the picture are Bill Lock, Jeanne Thiede, Carol Baechler, Carol’s sister Linda Sieroslawski, John Feddersen, Rosalie Vosburgh (team captain) and in the front is Heather Vosburgh. Next year the Walk will be held on May 1, 2011.

Just in case our members do not know, we recycle used greeting cards. We take them to different nursing homes and senior day care centers. The seniors make different things from them such as place mats, book markers and gift boxes. It is good therapy for them.
Just bring the cards down to the lodge and put my name on them and I will see that they are given to the correct place. All cards are used, Christmas, birthday and etc. Thanks for your help.

I now have information about the amount of money Mooseheart has received for all the cartridges we have been sending in.
The total amount from all the states that are participating is $12,406.88. The State of IL has collected $867.15 for the kids. We are fourth in the nation for donations. Thanks for all the help and keep up the program.

Yes, we walked in the rain for the “babies”. Thanks to all the members, co-workers and families who supported our walkers. We raised $2355.00 this year. It was wet but we had a good time.
