October 24th turned out to be another great evening for all those who attended. Not only did we get to hear some inspiring stories of people from our own community, but we had the chance to welcome many new guests into our lodge. This year’s event had another great turnout and many new members of the community got to learn more about what the Moose is all about. Besides the individual awards handed out that night, the Woodstock Moose Lodge presented a Tommy Moose to both Police Chief Robert Lowen and Fire Chief Ralph Webster. As well as highlighting the Tommy Program we also announced that we would supply both departments the Tommy Moose program for all their patrol cars and emergency vehicles. We also presented our recent Platinum Premier Award and Shining Star Awards for Community Service to representatives of the LOOM and WOTM. Getting to show the community some of the good work our lodge does each year within the community. Besides that and most importantly, that night we raised money for the Woodstock Food Pantry and for Moose Charities. All in all is was a great night. Hopefully next year we will see even more Moose members in attendance. The following awards were handed out that night:
Policeman of the Year – David P. Dempsey
Firefighter of the Year – Assistant Chief Pat Burke
Citizen of the Year – Quinn Keefe
Teacher of the Year – Kim Beysthner
