                                                       Bingo Help Needed!

Once again I am sending out a plea for help for Wednesday night Bingo. Vi Brown who has been a weekly helper for the past 26 years has decided she has done her share of helping. I thank you Vi as your help has been very much appreciated. Her experience has been a great help for me in doing my job as chairman. But I really do need some help with giving out the game sheets which is done from 5:30 to 7:00. It is hard to believe that out of almost 1500 members, there isn’t someone willing to give up an hour and a half each week. If I could just get 4 people it would mean that each could take one week a month. Please give this a thought and get back to me. Leave a message with the office or the bar and I will contact you. We need to insure that bingo will continue so that we can have the money for our Lodge’s many contributions to the community.

                                                 April, 2010 Bingo Update

Thanks to all who have helped to keep Bingo going in our Moose Lodge. A special thanks to Vi Brown who has been here almost every Wednesday Night for the past 26 years. I can not think of a member who is a greater example of a volunteer. Bonnie and Cheryl have been helping for several years also. We need more help. One Wednesday a month would help so much. Many of our players give their time to call back numbers. Without these helpers Bingo would not exist. The money we make each week goes for donations in our community or wherever it is needed. Of course we need more players to ensure our donations will keep helping. Did you know that in the past several months we have had 3 lucky $500.00 winners? Who can use that kind of money? Our last coverall starts at $200.00 for 50 numbers. Every week we add a number and $50.00 until the pot reaches $500.00. We also have a raffle that pays out on the average of 200 to 300 dollars. For as low as $20.00 you have chance on all of this so come in and spend a Wednesday night with us. Doors open at 5:30 with games starting at 7:00. See you soon

                                                January 2010 Bingo Update

Bingo
Out attendance in December has not been too good at our Wednesday night Bingo. The weather has been a factor in this and we all know that the coming months it is not going to get much better. If this continues through December we may have to cancel January and February game nights. Your can call the Lodge before coming in on January 6th to see what decision has been made.

                                                  December 2009 Bingo Updates

We realize that the economy has hit our Bingo night right along with all of the other fun things that we formerly enjoyed doing. Our attendance has been smaller but we still keep on playing every week. Our Bonanza still runs $200 on most nights. The raffle that is played right after the break is the even odd game and seldom pays less than $200. We have a change in the last game which is the coverall. We start with $200 for with 50 numbers called. Of course that is pretty hard to get so we raise the pot by $50 per week and add another number. We have had two $500 winners so far. That amount is the max that we can pay out so it stays at that amount every week but we keep adding another number until the $500 is won.
The Boy Scouts serve hamburgers, hot dogs, brats, pop corn and pop. This helps support their troop.
Our profit, which has been small, but what we do make goes back into the community as donations. Please help us to keep up those donations by coming in making it a more profitable and fun time for all of us.
