I am putting out a special request to all our members for some help and ideas.
First, we have been working on our goals for the lodge and after finishing some of them we are now moving on to the downstairs Legion Room and Pool Room Area. We have two great rooms that unfortunately need some attention. As part of our goal process we had planned to revamp those areas and make them the place to be for fun and activities in our lodge. We hope to make the areas Family friendly. We want your ideas on what you think we should do downstairs. All thoughts and ideas will be discussed, reviewed against our budget, and we will then come up with a plan that we can present at an upcoming floor meeting. However, we need your ideas now!
During the month of September if you have any ideas or thoughts on what you would like to see done downstairs, please submit them in writing to the board of officers. The LOOM board has a mailbox in the social quarters that you can leave them as well. We would like to formulate these ideas into a plan that can be voted on hopefully in October. So get us your ideas!
Secondly, and also just as urgent. We need members who would be willing to volunteer their time to work on this year’s Holiday Party which is to be held on December 12th and New Years Eve Party to be held on December 31st. We need people to start planning these events now so we can get everything ready to go by the end of September. There is entertainment hired for our Holiday Party, but everything else is yet to be planned. If you would care to work on any one of these events PLEASE contact me ASAP! You can either leave me a note in the lodge or email me at rjtip1@aol.com These events are fun and don’t require that much of your time. Let’s make this year’s events great fun for all our members.

During our Goal Process it was requested of all members to submit ideas, thoughts, and suggestions on a number of areas. This information was gathered and distributed to both the boards and committees of your lodge home. Though we would have liked to have more participation, every piece of information was truly valuable, and information we didn’t have before. We used this information to help determine goals for the year, and our committee chairmen are using the information to set their own goals for their committees. This should result in improvements and enhancements to not only your lodge, but its communication, its events, its community service work, and its overall appearance to name a few. We have many good people working tirelessly to maintain the good work we do, and the benefits of our lodge that we all enjoy. The information we received will make their job a little easier and hopefully make your lodge membership that much more valuable to you. These goals will be posted in the lodge for all members to see. Please follow along and keep us on track. We will only be able to complete these goals With Your Help, so let’s work together and see just how much we can accomplish.
